At Canberra Sideloader Services our core business is to transport Full Container Loads (FCL) in and out of Sydney’s Port Botany. From the time the Cartage Request is received our Operations team will book a time slot at the relevant wharf and monitor your specific container in question to ensure it is available, cleared by customs, of the correct weight to travel by road and delivered by the correct mode requested.

We have the ability to transport FCL’s up to a maximum of 23 tonnes with a prime mover and a sideloader trailer allowing the container to be lifted off onto the ground for unloading or loading of contents. If the container is above this weight or you have the facilities of a loading dock, we will deliver your container on a standard trailer in which we can carry up to 30 tonnes legally on the road. If the container is above 23 tonne and you require it to be placed on the ground, we can send two trucks to make this happen.

Our trailers cater for both 20’ and 40’ shipping containers and we will arrange the most efficient and safe way to transport these to you depending on weights and if there are multiple containers involved.

With a thorough knowledge of how Sydney’s Port Botany functions, we will work side by side your Freight Forwarding Agent to ensure you meet your business requirements when it comes to importing or exporting your manufactured product, materials or components/parts. We are experts in dealing with the tricky jargon and barriers that exist when it comes to moving freight in and out of Australia and can help you navigate a timely transport solution.

We have built a positive working relationship with many of the Container Freight Stations in Port Botany and can help facilitate Tailgate requirements of containers being delivered to regional areas, AQIS inspections and subsequent directions required by the Department of Agriculture.
